Serenity Case Study

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

This project highlighted the ability to create a sense of space and comfort in a smaller room by carefully selecting and arranging each element. It highlighted the importance of prioritizing key features in a design, such as the bed in this project, and building the rest of the design around them.

Client Background: A client with a clear vision for a bedroom that combines the comfort of a king-size bed with a lively yet uncomplicated design.

Problem Statement

  • Client's Needs & Desires: A simple, colorful bedroom centered around a king-size bed, despite the room's smaller dimensions.

  • Existing Challenges: Designing a cohesive and spacious-feeling room around a large bed in a limited space.

Design Process

  • Initial Assessment: Recognizing the need for careful planning to accommodate a king-size bed without overwhelming the room.

  • Conceptualization: We envisioned a design that balances the bed's size with a light and colorful aesthetic.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with the client to select the perfect bed and complementary accessories.

  • Material & Color Selection: Choosing vibrant colors and textures that enhance the room's sense of space and create a cheerful atmosphere.

Outcome

  • Functional Improvements: The room now comfortably accommodates a king-size bed while maintaining a sense of spaciousness.

  • Aesthetic Enhancements: The room's vibrant colors and thoughtful design create a joyful and relaxing atmosphere.

This transformation was about more than just aesthetics; it was about creating a space where the client could relax and recharge in a room that truly reflected their preferences. The project stands as a testament to our ability to listen to our client's needs and deliver designs that are both functional and uniquely tailored to their tastes.
